The Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences is a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive and public welfare agricultural scientific research unit directly under the provincial government, which undertakes the overall, key and strategic research tasks of agricultural science and technology in the whole province. Provincial Industrial Investment Group is a state-owned capital investment and operation company with the mission of industrial cultivation, and an important backbone enterprise in Yunnan Province. Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Party committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the development of the industrial hemp industry. They have carried out all-round, multi-level and multi sectoral field research and special discussions, carried out top-level design and planning for the development of the industrial hemp industry, and made important instructions to the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the provincial industrial investment group and other relevant units, requiring them to find the correct positioning, integrate resources, highlight key points and accelerate development To promote the safe, sustainable and high-quality development of industrial hemp industry. According to the agreement, Yunnan Industrial Hemp Industry Research Institute will be set up with the technical input of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the asset input of the provincial industry investment group. It will carry out cooperative research and development in the key technologies of the whole industry chain, such as hemp resource research, industrial hemp cultivation technology, processing technology, standardized breeding and planting demonstration base construction, and new product development, and build national and provincial key laboratories Or Engineering (Technology) research center and other scientific and technological innovation platforms to provide strong scientific and technological support for the development of Yunnan industrial hemp industry.

Some European and American countries have developed drugs with CBD as the main component, which have been approved for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and other diseases Products such as drugs, food, cosmetics and e-cigarettes have been developed and put on the market. Yunnan cannabis germplasm is extremely rich. Besides CBD, some rare non psychoactive cannabinoids, polysaccharides, flavonoids and flavor components are unique to Yunnan industrial hemp varieties. The exploitation and utilization of these potential high value components will be a new economic growth point for the development and utilization of industrial hemp.

Leading the country in scientific research

Yunnan Province takes the lead in scientific research, management, policy and innovative utilization of industrial hemp in China. Since the late 1980s, the marijuana research team of the Provincial Academy of agricultural sciences began to study marijuana. At present, the team has 13 scientific and technological personnel, including 4 researchers, 3 associate researchers, 3 assistant researchers, 2 doctoral degrees, 5 Master's degrees, 1 national industrial system post scientist, 1 master of discipline group experimental station of Key Laboratory of Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, 1 provincial industrial technology leader, and 1 provincial academic and technological leader reserve talent. The team has established the hemp germplasm resource bank and drug hemp database with the largest collection and preservation of germplasm resources in China, and has taken the lead in breeding 10 industrial hemp varieties in China. It has formulated only four domestic industrial hemp agricultural industry standards and a number of local standards of Yunnan Province. The hemp rapid detection box developed can be used for both practical combat application and scientific research, and is developed by science and enterprise cooperation The extraction and purification technology of CBD was studied. He has published more than 70 academic papers, obtained 5 national invention patents, and edited or participated in writing more than 10 Monographs on bast. From 2018 to 2019, "Yunma No.7" has been widely promoted, involving 14 states and cities; Yunnan Province has taken the lead in realizing the large-scale processing, extraction and industrialization of CBD in the world, and Yunnan Province has become the main producer of high-quality raw materials CBD in the world.
